Google maps takes you past the entrance and to a private road. The entrance is before that on the right with a white sign. Nice little water area, no sandy beach, plenty of trees for shade and picnic tables. For only 2 dollars per person over 5 yrs it's worth the trip.
I hate swimming in anything but a pool. I can't handle not being able to see through the water. This place is one of a kind. Cleanest water ever. You can see straight through to the bottom even when your out far. Only place I'll swim other than a pool.
Other reviewers must have missed the turn to the Park. I live nearby, and walk my dog here often. It is a nice little park. Very small, and usually very quiet. A nice quiet place to enjoy the scenic Maine wilderness.
This is a private road and not a state park.
